Van Asbeck (they/them) is a senior in illustration at KCAI in Kansas City, Missouri. Van specializes in vibrant and bold colors, shape language, and pretty boys and is working towards a career in Visual Development. As a queer person who was born and raised in the deep south, Van is heavily inspired by christian motifs, hedonism and is interested in religion as a whole. Van likes to explore themes of monstrosity, villainy, romance, hybridity, and the inherent sexiness of being a vampire.
