Terms and Conditions of Written Submissions

By submitting your literature for publication with Prismatica Press, through its magazine, Prismatica Magazine, you acknowledge that our standard contract terms include the following. You, the person submitting written work (referred to herein as “Work”) to be published, shall be referred to as “Author.” The following terms apply to all submissions made by Author to Prismatica Press.

Ownership

Prismatica Press shall not submit a contract to Author setting forth the terms of the ownership of the Work and the rights acquired by Prismatica Press. Author retains ownership of the Work, but the Author grants Prismatica Press non-exclusive rights for print publication, online archival rights to showcase the Work indefinitely (text and audio) on their website, non-exclusive anthology rights, and for promotional purposes, including but not limited to promotion on Prismatica Press's website PrismaticaPress.com.

The granting of rights to Prismatica Press is nonexclusive in nature and shall continue in perpetuity as long as Prismatica Press continues to exist. These rights are only transferrable in the event Prismatica Press changes legal status or sells or transfers ownership to another party.

Payment

Author is not entitled to any form of payment from Prismatica Press for the license to use the Work as outlined above.

Author's Rights in the Work of Original Works

By submitting a Work to Prismatica Press, Author represents to Prismatica Press that Author has ownership and ability to convey rights stated above in the Work to Prismatica Press. Prismatica Press shall make no changes in, additions to, or eliminations from the Work, except for typographical, spelling, and grammatical errors, without Author's consent. Any other edits will be requested of the author and agreed upon between the Author and editor prior to preparation for publication.
